Connective Tissue Disease Things

After my last appointment with my rheumy I’ve learnt how to identify all three types of pain I have now. Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Connective Tissue. Lately it’s been the ligaments, connective tissues, skin, and such that are painful. It’s particularly bad today. A 7-8 on the scale. I’ve managed to get myself and the kids dressed and fed, gone to the clinic and pharmacy. Rather proud of myself for that. Still have some grocery shopping to do and getting the boy child his haircut for impending kindergarten.

I’ve taken all the pain meds I can. I’m thinking I might need to take a dose of cyclobenzaprine. This would involve weaning immediately though and I’m undecided if I’m up for that. Fuck it hurts though.

Pain levels are really high today. Sitting around a 9. I have taken 500mg Naproxen, one T3 and my anxiety meds. It’s been about an hour with little relief. Playing catch up after a few days (a week?) without proper T3’s. I’ll update this later if I can manage. I’m off to make a cup of coffee and get ready for work.

My joints are full of hot broken glass. Had a seven day run of Naproxen, stopped for three days then had to start another round today. Will be trying three days on, three days off. I REALLY dislike heartburn and after taking so many pills for so long I try to be as gentle as I can on my digestive tract and liver. I’ve taken three T3’s today. Currently waiting for the Naproxen/T3/Cyclobenzaprine “nightcap” to kick in. Sleep will not happen until it does. Pain levels hovering around 8-9. At least I’m not nauseated, and the “t” zone isn’t misbehaving.

For any new readers: my “t” zone runs from the base of my skull, down my spine to the bottom of my shoulder blades; Crossed by a line from shoulder to shoulder, the highest pain levels sitting where those lines intersect.
